CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

Imagine, Jerry Bruckheimer executive producing a TV show where there aren't explosions every few minutes! Created by Anthony Zuicker, CSI is a show about the Las Vegas Crime Scene Investigators, a team that uses science to put people behind bars. Gil Grissom (William Peterson - Manhunter) becomes the head of CSI after an unfortunate incident in the pilot episode triggers the Sheriff to fire Captain Brass (Paul Guilfoyle). Also part of CSI is former stripper Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger - China Beach), problem gambler Warrick Brown (Gary Dourdan - Soul Food, Alien: Resurrection), ladies man Nick Stokes (George Eads - Savannah ) and the beautiful Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox - ER). The show is a wonderful mix of "whodunit," science and humor.

QUICK BACKGROUND
This great number-one rated dramatic series, created by Anthony Zuiker, is on Thursday nights at 9:00 PM ET/PT on CBS TV. CSI revolves around a team of Las Vegas forensic Crime Scene Investigators who solve crimes by studying the evidence. Heading up the 'graveyard' shift is Gil Grissom, senior forensics officer at the Criminalists Bureau. His team consists of Catherine Willows, a single mother trying to juggle both parenthood and her job; Nick Stokes and Warrick Brown, who are always competing to solve their cases; Sara Sidle, a bright young CSI, and Captain Jim Brass, the homicide captain who once worked Forensics. Assisting them are lab tech Greg Sanders, medical examiner Dr. Robbins, and Sgt. O'Riley.

CSI is now seen worldwide from the USA to Asia, and stars William Petersen, Marg Helgenberger, Gary Dourdan, George Eads, Jorja Fox, and Paul Guilfoyle.

CSI is extremely popular in Morocco , where it is known as “Les Experts”.

Jorja Fox was born in New York City to French Canadian parents and raised in the small coastal town of Melborne Beach, Florida , but moved back to NYC after she won a modeling contest in Florida . Soon she began a modeling career, which took her various places, including Milan . At eighteen, she decided to concentrate on acting, studying with veteran actor William Hickey at New York 's Lee Strasberg Institute. She made her movie debut in the 1989 independent flick, The Kill-Off.

In the 1990s, Jorja obtained roles such as the ABC Afterschool special Summer Stories: The Mall and Dead Drunk: The Kevin Tunell Story, as well as HBO's Lifestories: Families in Crisis. In 1993 she did a primetime series, Law & Order, and then landed a regular role on ABC's Missing Persons, but it was her portrayal of Dr. Maggie Doyle on ER that propelled her on to bigger roles. She had a recurring role on NBC's West Wing as Secret Service agent Gina Tuscano, but then CSI came along and recruited her.

Her film roles have included The Jerky Boys, Dead Funny, Alchemy, and the critically acclaimed Memento with Guy Pearce. Jorja is co-founder of the experimental theater group Honeypot Productions, and writes and stars in plays for the Los Angeles-based group. So far, she has written four of the group's five plays. The fourth play, Lovely Stanley, is a comedic romp about the women's bowling circuit.

Jorja lives in Los Angeles , and enjoys traveling, playing guitar, and singing. She has a boxer named Ali, and two cats named Rumplestiltskin and Sid Poitier (they came with those names).
